Working together to survive the years ahead

We'd best stop kidding ourselves, fellow Steilacoomites — we're in for it.

While, incredibly, a few government officials are still hemming and hawing about whether the U.S. might be, who knows, on the verge of a recession, most of us realize we're well into a headlong tumble down a flight of stairs, into a fiscal catastrophe the likes of which hasn't been seen in eighty years. The only thing left open for discussion is whether Great Depression II will be to Great Depression I as WW II was to WW I — same basic concept, but a quantum leap more painful, bloody and destructive.

If you disagree with the above premise, you might as well stop reading now. Goodbye and good luck — I think you'll need it.

If, on the other hand, you think a) there might be something to it, and b) it makes sense for neighbors to come together and help each other out in a time of unprecedented crisis, then welcome to steilacoomtogether.blogspot.com!
